China to Officially Enforce Mandatory RoHS Standards from 2027!

Breaking News! On August 1st, 2025, China officially issued the national standard GB 26572-2025 to restrict the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products. This standard will come into effect on August 1st, 2027, replacing the previous recommended standard GB/T 26572-2011.

Key Highlights:

    • China’s first-ever mandatory RoHS regulation, marking a major regulatory shift;

    • Unifies and refines earlier rules on hazardous substance control;

    • Aligned with the EU RoHS, enabling smoother international trade and compliance.
